Hello! My name is Rafe Forman. I am an illustrator, background artist, and concept artist. Born in Los Angeles and currently living in London, I am a life-long city kid who believes there is wonder and adventure waiting on every block, around every corner.

 

ANIMATION: Previously, I have worked at studios including Sun & Moon, Lupus Films, and Toonbox for clients including BBC and Universal Pictures

 

ILLUSTRATION: My work usually combines traditional ink and gouache with digital drawing with to create images with depth that still feel hand touched. I am comfortable working fully digitally or fully traditionally, though, depending on the project. While my work is primarily directed toward older kids, I am open to any picture books, chapter books, and comic projects that feel like the right fit. I have previously created and sold a number of independent publications as well as creating artwork for the climate non-profit Sycomore.
